Last night’s episode of the BBC’s Great Interior Design Challenge had an urban, industrial theme and part of the brief was to ‘upcycle’ some vintage apple crates. Two of the schemes featured the crates used as furniture in quite prominent positions in the final schemes, especially in the case of the winner.
